The Family Farmer is an interactive documentary game accompanying the feature length film The Family Farm.  The game challenges visitors to create and manage their own virtual farm, raising awareness to the large and small issues specific to family farms, of which there are fewer and fewer in Canada. GAME LINK
You’re running out of money, fast. Find a job and do whatever it takes to survive a month as a member of the working poor in the United States. Spent forces the player to confront difficult decisions about life when living paycheque-to-paycheque. Balance your budget and decide how to spend money without going bankrupt. These are framed within a context of realistic financial and moral problems that force a choice between money and family or ethics. Challenge yourself to finish the month with money left over, a clear conscious, or a combination of both.

Many of the clothes available in our high fashion shops have been manufactured in sweatshops, factories that routinely pay their workers less than the minimum wage, and prevent the formation of unions to campaign for better working conditions.  Sweatshop is a light-hearted game, but it’s based upon very present realities that many workers around the world contend with each day.
